“My inspiration comes spontaneously from the elements that surround me. These elements can be the shape of a scrap of paper, a reflection on a material, a shadow in foliage…
I create my works by cutting out, with scissors, every detail of a painting. When all the pieces are cut out, I carefully assemble and glue them. Some areas can contain up to 8 overlapping elements. My tools are simple: a pencil, scissors, tweezers, glue, and paper of a variety of textures and a rich range of colors”. (B.S.)

L’ HOMME AUX OISEAUX  – Collages on paper, 50x50cm.

“I like exploring new graphics; I compose the shapes then carefully select the colors. My works are characterized by a personal and unusual production technique.
My style is precise, graphic, modern and colorful. I address themes that are close to my heart such as joy, respect, peaceful relationships. My interest in the environment is also reflected in my creations, emphasizing the importance of nature and our relationship with it”. (B.S.)

Le Chatrina – Collages on paper 50x50cm.

“Most of the papers I use are 100% recycled, which aligns with my artistic approach connected to environmental preservation and respect for natural resources”. (B.S.)

1. What experiences, spaces, places, or concerns inspire you to create your work?

My inspiration is spontaneous and intuitive, often guided by paper scraps resulting from my cutting work. These fragments, with their unexpected shapes, become the sparks for new ideas: a particular piece catches my eye and awakens an image in my mind—I quickly sketch it to keep it from slipping away. This initial draft then becomes the starting point of a new composition. This process allows me to maintain a free yet attentive approach, where every detail of daily life can transform into a new visual story.
I have always been driven by a vivid imagination and a deep love for dreaming. To me, the imaginary world is an endless source of inspiration, enabling me to perceive inventive forms in paper scraps and to drift into daydreams that open the doors to serene universes. These inner worlds, filled with calm, thought, and freedom, guide the creation of my artworks.
By blending dream and reality, collage becomes a way to translate my imagination and reflections into images.

2. Tell us about your artwork or series you are currently working on.

My work follows a continuous path, where each new piece enriches my existing series. In the beginning, my compositions were extremely detailed, with some containing over 300 individually glued elements. But over time, I felt the need to simplify my creations to highlight the essence of each shape and color. This exploration led me toward more graphic forms while experimenting with papers of different weights to create contrasts in density and texture.

At the same time, my artistic vision became more refined. Initially, my main goal was to offer a space for dreaming and escapism, but I gradually began to incorporate deeper messages that invite reflection. Today, my works convey values that are essential to me: respect, kindness, and harmony with our environment.
Through this evolution, I continue to create images imbued with softness while establishing a subtle dialogue between art and nature.
