“Suspended Moments” is a solo exhibition by Beatrice Sartori. This collection of paper collages is an invitation to slow down, observe, and feel.
Each piece is a breath — a moment suspended between movement and stillness.
Through the play of cut-out forms, luminous colors, and dreamlike symbols, these works invite a gentle pause, a quiet contemplation.
Birds, hearts, bursts of light, flowers or butterflies become messengers of an inner world at peace — a space where the gaze can linger, and the heart can open.
These visual poems celebrate the beauty of the present moment — the one that escapes time and reconnects us to ourselves.

In a world in constant motion, my work offers a pause — a doorway into a suspended moment where the gaze can linger.
Through hand-cut, layered, and sculpted paper, I create visual narratives that evoke inner worlds, fleeting thoughts, and imagined futures.
From a verdant hillside blooming with smiles, to a bird savoring the morning dew, to a robot discovering the tenderness of nature, each scene captures a unique emotional rhythm. These snapshots invite the viewer to rediscover a gentler, more mindful connection to the world.
Whether it’s the quiet blossoming of a snowdrop ballerina, the rising tail of a whale at sunrise, or a rainbow-winged bird soaring beyond the clouds, my work is an invitation to slow down, to observe, to feel.

rendered through overlapping shades of blue, convey the soothing fluidity and
perpetual motion of the sea.

confidently on his metallic hand.
Kneeling in the grass, his eyes wide open, Pablo smiles tenderly, as if discovering
for the first time the fragile beauty of nature. Faced with this tiny, vibrant creature,
he seems to be searching for its secret.
In a sky filled with stars, the moon casts its light over the scene, highlighting the
intimacy of this suspended moment between two beings—so different, yet deeply
connected.
The image conveys a harmony between technology and nature, capturing a
moment of poetry and wonder.

PERCE-NEIGE, LA BALLERINE DES GLACES
Paper cut collage | 50×40 cm | 2025
In the shimmering jewel box of a frosty night, a snowdrop flower comes to life with
grace. Its delicate petals unfurl like a pristine mane, crowning a face imbued with
serenity. Its bulb forms a luminous head, while its stem, arched backward, evokes
the lightness of a ballerina.
Its upper leaves, stretched like open arms, seem to embrace the cosmos, while
the lower leaves extend into slender legs, adorned with white skates. Each glide is
a dance step leaving an ephemeral trace on the icy mirror.
In a sky studded with stars, the immense moon, a spectator of the enchanting
choreography, bathes the scene in its gentle glow.
The entire tableau exudes a serene harmony, celebrating the magic of winter
poetry.

Transported by her choreography, Lexa twirls inside her hoop.
The background of the stage, dominated by a starry sky, illuminates her dance.

dimension of freedom to the scene.
The expression of fulfillment on Lia’s face speaks to her deep connection with her
art.

LIBERTÉ
Paper cut collage | 40×50 cm | 2025
This painting depicts an orange-hued bird.
Breaking free from all constraints, it emerges from the clouds, spreading its wide
wings adorned with rainbow hues, symbolizing peace and hope.
The clouds, composed of successive layers of paper in shades of blue, mauve,
and pink, evoke a horizon bathed in softness and light.
In its ascent toward an infinite azure sky, the bird embodies freedom.

RAYONNEMENT INTÉRIEUR
Paper cut collage | 40×50 cm | 2024
At the center of the composition stands a vivid red heart, a symbol of life and love.
From this radiant heart, beams of light emerge, spreading into a gradient palette
of blues. These rays, layered with subtle nuances, range from deep blue to light
blue, creating an atmosphere that is both soothing and dynamic.
Within the rays, red hearts appear here and there, carrying vitality.
The contrast between the intense red and the bluish hues creates a dynamic
interplay, evoking an inner light that continues to grow and illuminate.

UN MATIN NOUVEAU
Paper cut collage | 40×50 cm | 2025
At the heart of a vibrant landscape, a colorful bird drinks from a dewdrop hanging
delicately from a blade of grass atop a lush green hill. Behind it, an orange sun
rises, bathing the scene in radiant light.
The intense red background gives the composition a warm energy, contrasted by
the delicate freshness of the dew scattered throughout the scene.
With its eyes gently closed, the bird seems to savor the moment.
This artwork celebrates the dawn of a new day — a moment suspended between
serenity and vitality — suggesting an inner renewal filled with hope, softness, and
infinite possibilities.

LEVER DE COULEURS
Paper cut collage | 40×50 cm | 2024
The work captures the positive energy of the rising sun.
In the center of the composition is a yellow and orange half-sphere. From this
half-sphere, rays of light emerge in a series of superpositions of green. Inside
these green rays, butterflies appear.
Like an echo of the first radiance of light, a second, tinted with yellow, orange and
red, emerges. Inside these dazzling rays flowers bloom.
Butterflies suggest that change is possible. Flowers are a reminder of nature’s
capacity to renew itself. Colors express vitality.
These elements create a composition that invites the viewer to consider the
beauty of a new day that begins with a sense of hope and endless possibilities
while evoking a vision of a better future.

NATURE

extended hand, delicate butterflies and flowers emerge and float in the air.
This artwork honors the essential process of pollination, a metaphor for
generosity, interdependence, and the quiet miracle of biodiversity
It invites viewers to pause and appreciate the fragile beauty of life and the
harmony we share with nature.

L’HOMME AUX OISEAUX

closed, man expresses inner tranquility and connection with his natural
environment.
As if attracted by the calm and soothing presence of the man, birds fly towards
him while others are already resting along his outstretched arms.

harmony of peaceful coexistence.
The abstract representation reinforces the timeless and universal character of this
connection.

them a potential target of his aerial charm.
The whole scene, the joyful flight of a hummingbird above nature in full bloom,
announces the rebirth of spring

ARTIST STATEMENT
My creative process begins with spontaneous inspiration — a reflection, a shadow, the curve of a piece of paper — that sparks the desire to translate emotion into form. I work exclusively with paper, cutting each element by hand using scissors, then layering and assembling them with great care and precision. Some areas of my compositions contain up to eight overlapping layers, creating depth, volume, and a tactile sense.
My materials are simple: pencil, scissors, glue, tweezers, and a wide variety of richly colored and textured papers — most of which are 100% recycled, in alignment with my values of
sustainability and respect for nature.
My technique is both meticulous and intuitive. I enjoy exploring new graphic forms, experimenting with color palettes, and constructing precise, modern, and poetic compositions. Each piece is created layer by layer, much like a visual meditation.
The themes I explore are those that matter deeply to me: peace, joy, respect, harmony, and the importance of our relationship with the natural world. I see my work as a way to express subtle emotions and to offer viewers a gentle pause — a moment of serenity, connection, and reflection.
