STATEMENT
Lately, I have been taking pictures of the sea. A lot of them. It’s the only place that
makes sense in a world of confusion and sorrow. I tried to reproduce what I saw on
canvas. The sea is a safe spot.
I love its blinding light, I love when they tidy everything up ready for winter. It’s
special, full of light, quietness and calmness, the gentle rhythm of the waves, the few
things left around. These two artworks represent that, the leftovers.
