LEVER DE COULEURS | Collages on paper | 40×50 cm | 2024
The work captures the positive energy of the rising sun.
In the center of the composition is a yellow and orange half-sphere. From this
half-sphere, rays of light emerge in a series of superpositions of green. Inside
these green rays, butterflies appear.
Like an echo of the first radiance of light, a second, tinted with yellow, orange and
red, emerges. Inside these dazzling rays flowers bloom.
Butterflies suggest that change is possible. Flowers are a reminder of nature’s
capacity to renew itself. Colors express vitality.
These elements create a composition that invites the viewer to consider the
beauty of a new day that begins with a sense of hope and endless possibilities
while evoking a vision of a better future.
Creation technique:
This artistic method is based on the use of papers with flat areas of color,
carefully cut with scissors. These cutouts are then assembled and glued onto a
thick paper background, presenting a uniform color.
The overlays of colored papers produce dynamic visual contrasts and give relief to
the final composition.
Support :

L’OISEAU ARC-EN-CIEL | Collages on paper | 50×50 cm | 2024.
The painting features a stylized peacock
whose tail forms a large half-sphere which unfolds like a fan of colors. Each ray of
this half-sphere sports a bright and distinct hue, which reproduces the nuances of a
rainbow. The slightly curved ends of the tail give amplitude to the bird. The
background, a very light green, brings an atmosphere of tranquility. The blades of
grass, represented by regular and clean lines, provide a natural base for the colorful
bird.
Creation technique: To obtain a three-dimensional perspective, the cut
elements are strategically arranged to obtain different height levels. Some
elements are glued directly to the bottom, while others are mounted on foam board
supports to elevate them. The main subject is placed in the foreground, while
secondary elements are used for more distant shots. This artistic approach makes
it possible to give a spatial dimension to the compositions.
Support : The work is
stuck on a thick sheet of light green paper with a smooth surface.

VIVRE EN HARMONIE | Collages on paper | 50×50 cm | 2024
The painting illustrates a moment of visual dialogue between two birds with
singular colors, the first with blue plumage, the second displaying glowing shades.
Their distinct identity symbolizes different cultures. In a soothing sky, the birds
exchange a confident look. Their proximity, underlined by the warmth of the yellow
flowers, evokes a peaceful coexistence, where differences become a source of
richness and balance. The entire composition forms a painting where each
element complements the other, emphasizing the importance of mutual respect in
a world of diversity.

At the center of the composition stands a stylized butler. His distinguished
appearance is emphasized by his costume, evoking a certain timelessness.

hourglass becomes the essential point of the painting, the grains of sand
symbolizing the inexorable flow of time.
The attention paid to this detail underlines the fleetingness of each moment.
Through its simplicity and symbolism, the work invites the viewer to reflect on the
need to stop, to take a break from the whirlwind of life and to recognize the
inestimable value of each moment.

ARTIST STATEMENT
My inspiration comes spontaneously from the elements that surround me. These elements can be the shape of a scrap of paper, a reflection on a material, a shadow in foliage…
I create my works by cutting out, with scissors, every detail of a painting. When all the pieces are cut out, I carefully assemble and glue them. Some areas can contain up to 8 overlapping
elements. For pieces that are too small to handle with fingers, I use tweezers.
My tools are simple: a pencil, scissors, tweezers, glue, and paper of a variety of textures and a rich range of colors.
I like exploring new graphics; I compose the shapes then carefully select the colors.
My works are characterized by a personal and unusual production technique.
My style is precise, graphic, modern and colorful.
I address themes that are close to my heart such as joy, respect, peaceful relationships. My interest in the environment is also reflected in my creations, emphasizing the importance of nature and our relationship with it.
