«“Polychrome” is a testament to colour and fluidity; the magic we can create when we arent afraid to explore.
When I moved over from digital art three years ago because of the strain it had on my eyes and in turn, my head, I felt that I had no artistic identity. I felt lost and didn’t know where to
begin when it came to all the different mediums in the traditional art world; a world I left behind when I was a teenager. Thanks to an art subscription service I’ve been able
to seek and find my artistic voice, and it was something I never thought it would be. So I set forth to explore limited colour palettes and free flowing form, to loosen my grip and let loose.
I’m now able to express myself in ways I never thought to in my digital art days, simply because I was so set in my ways and didn’t see the point in “colouring outside the lines».

I get it now.

About

“Thematically as an artist I have a deep interest in human nature and its cultural context. As naturally sensory beings, I wish to explore the complex aspects of the human psyche through the use of different artistic expressions. As an interdisciplinary artist I like to try out a variety of different mediums however, and in this process let the mediums speak for me. This is how these pieces were created, by letting go of preconceptions.

My work is usually figurative and focused on the female form, however experimenting with different prompts and mediums has allowed me to keep the creative juices flowing in periods where inspiration has been failing. In doing so I have learnt to play more with colour and expression, and the abstract has gained footing in my works.”
