Rita Chehab
Rita Chehab is a Multi-Award-Winning International Artist, from Lebanon based in Dubai, known for her evocative exploration of femininity and the human experience. Her canvases are distinguished by their ability to transform the everyday into the extraordinary. Through her Art, she celebrates life in all its nuances, making every emotion a hymn to the beauty of being human. Behind each painting is an underlying insinuation of wonder and apprehension.
«Since I started painting, my work has always been a reflection
of my personal journey, a kind of visual diary filled with my
emotions. From the intimate experiences of motherhood to
themes of women’s empowerment and pressing social issues,
each series captures a chapter of my life».
«My artwork draws inspiration directly from my existence as a
woman, as a mother and as an artist, taking the viewer into an
emotional journey, where imagination, dreams, symbolism
and poetry blend together to transform the seemingly
mundane into surrealistic atmospheres of joy and excitement.
From ‘April Flourish’, my first solo show, to ‘Blue Light’,
‘Journey’s Whisper’, and more recently ‘Immortality’, every
title has carried a deep personal meaning. Now comes ‘Fleeting
Shadows’. It’s not a contradiction to ‘Immortality’, but rather a
continuation».
‘Fleeting Shadows’ invites viewers to contemplate the
paradox of human existence: We vanish, yet we remain. We
fade, yet we illuminate.
Like shadows cast at dusk, our lives are brief, yet they are
shaped by light, by meaning, expression, and legacy.
Where ‘Immortality’ focused on lasting legacy, ‘Fleeting
Shadows’ embraces the beauty of transience, suggesting that
even what fades leaves a trace».
1. What experiences, spaces, places, or concepts inspire you to create your work?
My artistic journey is a mirror of my personal life. Since the beginning, everything I live, everything I feel, I express through my brush. My work reflects my path as a woman, a mother, an artist, and a human being. Life itself—its emotions, its lessons, its intensity—is my greatest inspiration. I use my art as my voice, a way to deeply convey personal emotions and to highlight the social messages I believe in. Since last October, I went through a deeply difficult and personal family experience. It was heartbreaking to see a loved one in pain, to live with the fear of losing them. I lived through the pre-fear, the fear itself, and then, eventually, the loss. During these months, everything I created was directly connected to my emotional state—faith, hope, fear, love, sadness, transformation… all woven together in my work.
My ‘Sky Symphony’ collection painted in the beginning of 2025, was inspired by a difficult period in my life; a prayer of gratitude for every morning we are given, for the presence of our loved ones, for the simple gift of breathing, and for the ever-changing beauty of the morning sky. A daily reminder of the harmony and energy that pushes us forward. Each morning, the sky presents a new symphony—layered, shifting, yet always consistent in its rhythm.
To me, it embodies the very idea of immortality: a constant force that renews itself, offering us the motivation to move forward, even on the toughest of days.
Through Sky Symphony, I explored how we, too, are part of that ongoing cycle—how true progress comes from endurance and renewal. Just like the sky, we carry the potential for immortality within us, shaping and reshaping our world each day.
Lately, I’ve been exploring the deeper concept of existence—why are we here? I believe we come into this life not simply to exist, but to learn, to grow, to believe, and ultimately, to leave a legacy. Since the beginning of this personal experience with fear and grief, I’ve been working around that idea. That’s why I entitled my Solo exhibition in February 2024 “IMMORTALITY”. It was my way of exploring life, memory, and presence before I lost my father.
After his passing, I continued on this path with my May 2025 Solo exhibition, «FLEETING SHADOWS». Which became a natural continuation of the Immortality concept — a reflection on presence, absence, and the light we leave behind.
2. Tell us about your creative process and your artwork or series you are currently working on.
I am currently working on a new series entitled “CHAOTIC GRACE.” It explores the chaos we live in—our minds filled with countless ideas, responsibilities, and dreams. It’s about learning to bring order to that inner storm so we can move forward and achieve. This series also reflects on the themes of imperfection and time—how we often wait for the “right moment” to create something perfect, when in fact, perfection doesn’t exist.
Everything begins with a spark: an idea, a feeling, an emotion, a sketch, a dream, a picture in the mind. As Pablo Picasso once said, “Everything you can imagine is real.” This belief is at the core of this series—trusting the vision that comes from within, and daring to begin, even amidst the chaos.
“CHAOTIC GRACE” also dives into the deeper philosophy of life— beyond our physical existence and temporary presence. It’s about legacy, about what we leave behind for future generations. It speaks to endurance, to the timeless impact of our ideas and creations.
This series is both personal and universal—an invitation to embrace the mess, the imperfection, and still find grace in the act of creating and living.

Rita’s paintings inspire viewers to reflect on their dreams and their regrets, simultaneously. This paradox is what transforms her paintings into stories that mimic most of the emotional experiences in our lives, and helps the viewer to become a part of the artist’s world. Since 2020, She has participated in more than 61 exhibitions around the world in prestigious cities like Paris, Monaco, Luxembourg, Madrid, Brussels, Santiago, Malta, Dubai, Marbella, Los Angeles, New York, Barcelona, Greece, Rome, and Ferrara Italia to date. Honored with esteemed art prizes, she continues to captivate audiences through Solo exhibitions and global platforms, solidifying her presence in the International Art Scene.
