«My emotions led me to the brush, and my journey began. Many stories have been told, and many more are yet to come. Through motherhood, sisterhood, wifehood, friendship, and my experience as a woman, I found my voice, my identity, and the messages I wish to share with the society around me.
My emotions draw the images in my mind, and my hand translates them onto the canvas through colors, forms, and shapes. From time to time, it is important to pause, reflect on our achievements, celebrate ourselves, and continue moving forward without stopping. Despite a very challenging 2025, my artistic journey continued and concluded the year with my 6th solo exhibition, “Voices of Wonder,” carrying a message of hope for the new year 2026 and a wish for everyone to discover the true wonder in life. Another important highlight at the end of 2025 was my ‘Quick Talk’ with MONAT Gallery in Madrid, Spain, sharing a message of resilience, creativity, perseverance, and inspiration for fellow artists. Alongside this, I am deeply grateful for the awards, publications in books where my paintings were featured, Solos & collective exhibitions.
Painting is a fundamental part of my daily life. It is where I draw my energy, where imagination becomes stories, and stories transform into artworks. It is where I translate both pain and joy into figures and shapes born from my imagination; where dreams and regrets meet. Cheers to the beauty of art, to endless stories, endless paintings, and the endless easel». Rita Chehab

Artist Statements
It comes natural to me; this feeling that my emotions are escaping
my heart. I then capture them on my brush, as I transform a blank
canvas into images of my imagination.
Sometimes our most fragile moments shape our strongest selves.
Each brushstroke reflects a heartbeat of hope, a spark of joy, and
the warmth of human connection.

weakness, but the quiet strength of allowing ourselves to feel, to
fall, and to rise again.
Every time I transform my white canvas into a painting from my
imagination, I tell a story; my story; and the canvas flourishes to
life.
I paint moments of joy, passion, fear, loneliness, sadness, love,
togetherness, contentment… I capture these moments with my
brushes and colours, I then frame them on my canvas and embed
them forever in my heart.
As human beings, we are soft and fragile; life can turn in a
moment. Faith is the light that guides us through every minute.

My paintings are a reflection of my life as a mother, as a woman,
and as an ARTIST.
We carry light in our hearts, and it is transmissible.
The canvas and the Brush are the tools that allow me to explore
my interiority, to transform deeply all my emotions, my feelings,
into colors of my imagination and to travel without limits.
‘Voices of Wonder’ reminds us that wonder is not a place we
reach, but a feeling we carry within ourselves.
The works celebrate the courage to forgive, to love, and to
create, even after moments of loss or chaos.

We vanish, yet we remain. We fade, yet we illuminate.
Like shadows cast at dusk, our lives are brief, yet they are
shaped by light, by meaning, expression, and legacy.
Love never fades. Real emotions stay.
Each painting I present here is a testament to the light I feel; a
fusion of my life, my personal stories, and my eternal emotions.
We’re here to live, love, grow, and leave behind something
lasting.
Moments are fleeting, shadows remain in the light. They carry our
memories and stories.
I hope that, through art, will achieve a form of immortality,
resonating with others and living on as a timeless connection to
the human experience.

1.What inspires your creativity and personal style?
My artistic journey is a mirror of my personal life. Since the beginning, everything I live and feel is expressed through my brush.
My work reflects my path as a woman, a mother, an artist, and a human being. Life itself; its emotions, its lessons, its intensity; is my greatest inspiration. I use my art as my voice, a way to deeply express personal emotions and highlight the social messages I believe in.
My artistic journey is connected to my daily life; I cannot separate them. Everything within me and around me inspires me to create more and more. These creations, these paintings, are mirrors of the messages, stories, and dreams I wish to share, convey, or even bring to existence. My paintings are a solid pillar of my human existence.
They help me grow, understand more, change things around me, and motivate me to keep going despite all the challenges life can bring. Of course nature, the beauty of the ocean, the sky, and the natural world, inspires me deeply. It teaches me to appreciate the beauty
God created, softening the hardest moments in life.

My life as a mother of two daughters, as a woman, as a wife, and as an artist constantly inspires me to create paintings connected to our real life, yet presented in a blurry, dreamy, and soft way, transporting us into a world where dreams can come true.
Sometimes our struggles inspire me. I always choose to see the positive and focus on light rather than darkness. Our everyday emotions, our happiness, and our pain inspire us to transform the white canvas into endless stories.

2. Tell us about your motivations in your artistic work.
Being an artist, I believe that art can save us and save the world. Without books, paintings, sculpture, or philosophy, our existence would be dry and harsh. Art gives meaning to our emotions, helps us understand ourselves, and allows us to connect with others on a deeper level. I believe in my vision and my mission: to offer opportunities to see the positivity and goodness in everything we get from life’s endless challenges, to stir up emotions from both ends of the spectrum, to deliver a form of happiness, and to give answers to many questions about life, our relationships, and our existence, and to keep moving forward, no matter what.

My paintings are stories carrying deep messages that can transform us from within and influence the way we see our lives. Through colors, textures, and movement, I try to translate emotions that are sometimes difficult to express with words. I aim to create spaces where viewers can reflect, dream, and reconnect with their own feelings and experiences.
I feel responsible for using my platforms and my voice to help, to highlight social issues, and to offer inspiration, motivation, hope, and meaningful reflections. I believe that art has the power to open conversations, and to remind us of the beauty and strength that exist even in challenging times. Through my work, I hope to encourage people to believe in light, resilience, and the possibility of transformation.

3. Tell us about your artwork or series you are currently working on.
After my solo show ‘Voices of Wonder’ during the 2025 Christmas season, I continued working on my series ‘Chaotic Grace’. This series explores the chaos we live in; our countless ideas, responsibilities, and dreams. It reflects the journey of bringing harmony to this inner storm so we can move forward and grow.
It also touches on imperfection and time, reminding us that we often wait for the “right moment” to create something perfect, when in reality, perfection does not exist.
Everything begins with a spark: an idea, a feeling, an emotion, a sketch, a dream, or an image in the mind. As Pablo Picasso once said, “Everything you can imagine is real.” This belief lies at the
heart of this series; trusting the vision that comes from within and daring to begin, even in the midst of chaos. ‘Chaotic Grace’ also reflects on life beyond our physical and temporary presence,
exploring the idea of legacy and what we leave behind for future generations. It speaks about endurance and the timeless impact of our thoughts and creations.
This series is both personal and universal; an invitation to embrace imperfection and discover grace in the act of creating and living.
I am also working on a new project that revisits my earliest paintings; the very beginning of my artistic journey. In this project, I preserve the essence and core of those unfinished original works while reworking and refining them, giving them a renewed life. I transform them into what I call “beautiful new old paintings,” connecting my past artistic identity with my present evolution.
My series and stories are endless, like an endless easel. They capture moments I wish to preserve, always seeking the light within them, hoping to leave something meaningful and beautiful in this life before our departure.
